Restaurant Tornet
tarnetThis restaurant is situated in the tower of Christiansborg castle in the center of Copenhagen. It rises up to 106 meters above the ground, and this is the highest view point of the town. Right under the view platform, which can be visited for free, there is the restaurant. This is an amazing opportunity to combine an insightful guided tour of the castle with a tasty lunch or dinner at such an unusual place.
A well-known Danish chef Rasmus Bo Bojesen runs the restaurant, where he serves traditional danish dishes in the modern arrangement. The restaurant is opened Tuesday – Sunday for lunch (11 am – 3 pm), afternoon tea with confectionary (2 pm – 4 pm), and dinner (6 pm -10 pm).
Restaurant can be booked for groups up to 100 pers. The menu offered to groups is fixed choice from the main restaurant’s menu:
Small menu (3 courses) – 495 DKK/ pers.
Big menu (aperitif, 3 courses, and 3 glasses of wine, coffee and chocolate) – 950 DKK/pers.
Exclusive menu (aperitif and appetizer, 4 courses and 4 glasses of wine, coffee and chocolate) – 1250 DKK/ pers.

Restaurant Det Lille Apotek
littlepharmacyThe oldest restaurant in Copenhagen is situated in the lively Latina quarter of the city, just in few minutes from Tivoli Gardens, and the shopping street. The unique cozy atmosphere of an old restaurant is perfectly preserved here  with its 4 low-ceiling dinning halls lit by ancient gas lamps and antique leadded windows with the forest and nymphs  motives. Much of the restaurant enviroment came from the time when Hans Christian Andersen used to dine here.
Restaurant is open every day from 11:30 to 24:00. There is a lunch menu available till 5 pm and an evening menu from 5 pm. The menu represents the classics of Danish and Scandinavian cuisine.
Appetizers are from 120 DKK
Main dishes are from 210 DKK

Restaurant Höst
host2This modern design restaurant was opened in 2012 by the gastronomic group Cofoco and the desing company Menu and Norm Architects. The restaurant was created as an example of a new scandinavian cuisine and design. There is not many special decorations used in the restaurant, dominated by the rough walls and a lot of wooden elements, including its furniture – all of this embodying the latest trends in nordic design. Even the dishware was specially created for the restaurant.
The restaurant offers a fixed menu of three dishes, and a special seasonal menu. Besides, there is also a small choise of additional dishes. You can also order the wine package to your meal.
The restaurant can accommodate the groups up to 45 pers. There is no group menu available.
The restaurant has received the title of the best design restaurant from the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards.
A 3 course menu set – 395 DKK or 495 DKK/ pers.
Exclusive menu ( welcoming drink, 3 course menu, wine package for the menu, coffee) – 675 DKK or 875 DKK/ pers.

Restaurant Kanalen
kanalenThis restaurant is situated in a really nice place in the Copenhagen Old Town, right on the bank of Kristianshavn canal. The restaurant has spacious, bright rooms with overviewing the canal. The interior incorporates a lot of wooden elements in the Scandinavian style. The restaurant menu contains both classical Danish dishes and French and Italian dishes. The restaurant uses a lot of local ingredients of the best quality. The restaurant is open daily from 11:30 to 24:00. For lunch you can order a three-course menu and for dinner a 3 or 7 course menus are optional. The restaurant also has a separate room which can be booked for groups of 20 to 90 people, and offers a separate group menu.
In summer it is possible to sit on the outdoor terrace overlooking the canal.

Restaurant Caphorn
caphornThis restaurant is situated at the heart of Copenhagen, at the Nyhavn canal. Long time ago there was a tavern where sailors arriving at the port spent their time drinking. In 1990 the restaurant Caphorn was opened here. The restaurant aims to offer dishes from eco-friendly products. Caphorn is one of few restaurants in Copenhagen preserved it’s original old tavern look. Old wooden tables, fireplace, chairs and even dishes designed to emphasize the long history of this place.
They use ingredients of the highest quality for their dishes, everything is organic, even tea and coffee, and most part of wine offered at this restaurant is bought from the eco-friendly producers.
Restaurant is opened for brunch, lunch or dinner. For groups and events a group menu can be arranged.

Restaurant Koefoed
kofoed2The restaurant is situated in the central part of Copenhagen close to the Kongens Nytorv square. The food at this restaurant is inspired by a specific place – Danish island in Baltic Sea called Bornholm. Fresh seafood, figs, berries, and grains are delivered from the island directly to the restaurant. The restaurant serves traditional Danish cuisine with a modern edge, prepared with seasonal ingredients. The menu at the restaurant is contantly updated depending on the season and availability of the ingredients.
Kofoed Restaurant was mentioned in Michelin guide in 2008, and was recognized by the White guide – acknowledged restaurant guide in Scandinavia. You should try the restaurant’s specialty – their own house-made liquors infused with Bornholm’s herbs. The restaurant consists of a few dining halls with the capacity from 5 to 40 people. There is a special menu available for groups.

Ida Devidsen Restaurant
idadevidsenDo not miss this famous restaurant of danish open-faced sandwiches- ”smørrebrød”. It has existed for over five generations, and its sandwich menu during this time has grown to  the remarkable 250 positions. Everyone here will find smørrebrød to own taste. Note that in this restaurant the tables should be booked in advance.

 

 

 

Restaurant Fishmarket Pastis
pastisThis fish and seafood restaurant opened at Kongens Nytorv square in 2010, and it has already gained an immense popularity. Fishmarket Pastis is a French-bistro style restaurant, which offers a great variety of fish and seafood dishes. Quite a big part of the seafood comes from danish waters. Here you can always order fresh oysters on ice. The restaurant also offers a good wine list to choose from.
There is a possibility to order tables for groups up to 16 pers.

SALT Bar and Restaurant
saltSALT Bar and Restaurant is situated in Copenhagen Admiral Hotel, at the sea front of Copenhagen, close to Nyhavn canal. Famous Danish Chef Rasmus Møller Nielsen runs it. In 2014 the restaurant received for the second time the Nordic Taste  award from the culinary Festival in Copenhagen. The restaurant serves modern Danish cuisine. This is the place where you can try most daring taste combinations, and get an eyeful of elaborate servings.
Restaurant is open for lunch (12:00 – 16:00) and dinner (17:00 – 22:30). There is a possibility to order a tasting menu or choose dishes from the a la carte menu.
Moreover there is an amazing possibility to order a 3 course dinner together with the cruise through the Copenhagen canals, enjoying some drinks. Cruise can be booked for the groups of 4 or 6 pers.
