RIB (rigid inflatable boat) is a type of boat with a rigid inflatable hull. It consists of inflatable tubes that give the boat buoyancy and a rigid bottom that provides stability and good maneuverability. RIB boats are usually used for purposes such as sport fishing, boating, diving or excursions on water routes. Their advantages include high speed, good stability in waves and the ability to carry more passengers than other types of boats.

HESTUR

Kittiwake and Caves

This round trip from Gamlarett to Streymoy to Hestur includes sightseeing around the island. You will slowly get as close as possible to the birds under Loftid Rock, whose vertical wall reaches about 1,200 feet.

Hestur is home to guillemots, puffins, black guillemots, scows, fulmars and eider ducks. There are also a couple of seal caves.

If the weather is good, you will also visit the caves of Alvagjogv and Klámincjogv. The current and wind direction will determine which way you will go around the island.
