Iceland

Iceland is an amazing country known for its stunning landscapes, volcanoes, geysers and glaciers.

There are over 200 volcanoes, 30 of which are active. Volcanic landscapes create unforgettable views. The most famous volcanoes are Eyjafjallajokull, Hekla, Kerling, Kvitandarhojöð.

Glaciers cover about 11% of Iceland. The largest of them is Vatnajokull, which is also the largest glacier in Europe. Glaciers create amazing ice caves, lagoons where you can see icebergs, and waterfalls.

There are about 600 hot springs in Iceland, many of which are used for heating and electricity. The most famous geyser is Geysir, which throws a column of hot water up to 70 meters high.

Iceland is one of the best places in the world to watch the northern lights. In winter, from September to April, the sky over Iceland is filled with incredible colors.

Iceland is a country with a rich culture and traditions. There are museums, theaters, concert halls, traditional farms where you can get to know the local way of life. Iceland is a place where nature meets history, and beauty meets adventure.
