Norway in a nutshell

Norway is famous for its fjords, mountains, forests and lakes. Norwegians are very proud of their country and its nature, and this is reflected in the way they take care of their forests, mountains and water resources. This tour will give you the opportunity to learn as much about Norway as possible in a short time frame.

Program:

  1. Photo by Torild Moland / TravelStock

This legendary tour takes you through Norway's most breathtaking UNESCO-protected fjords and mountain landscapes, as well as Europe's most scenic railway routes - the Flåm Railway and the Bergen Railway.

You can depart from different places: Oslo, Bergen, Voss, Helio, Flam.
  2. Photo by Øyvind Heen / fjords.com

First you will go to Myrdal. In Myrdal you will change to a train to Flåm. The train leaves from the other side of the same platform (walk 7-10 meters). You will travel on the unique Flåm Railway. The Flåm Railway is a historical narrow-gauge railway located in Norway. From the window you will be able to see dozens of waterfalls and very beautiful mountain landscapes.
  3. Photo by Christine Baglo / Visit Norway

A steep descent from about 860 meters above sea level to 2 m above sea level. On the way, a stop at a waterfall, where you can get out and take photos. In Flåm, you can have a snack, visit souvenir shops or the Flåm Railway Museum (entrance is free). In the museum, you can learn about the construction of the line, its role in the economy and culture of Norway, and see unique photographs and documents related to the history of the Flåm Railway. Then you will board a boat from Flåm to Gudvangen.

You can ask to turn on the information in Russian when boarding (a recording with information about the places you pass). You will pass places that are unique in their beauty. The Nærøyfjord section is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is surrounded on both sides by mountains up to 1,700 m high. And this creates an everlasting picture - a narrow winding fjord, high cliffs and waterfalls falling from a height of hundreds of meters.
