    Sigtuna is the first capital of Sweden from the 11th century with preserved architecture of the early Middle Ages. The city has a pedestrian area surrounded by colorful wooden houses, where shops, cafes and restaurants are located.

    After visiting Sigtuna, you will go to the next capital – the city of Uppsala. Uppsala was the capital of Sweden until the mid-17th century, when the capital was moved to Stockholm.

    During the tour you will see Gustav Vasa Castle, visit the city center and the Cathedral, and admire the panorama of the city from the observation deck.

    Excursion to Gripsholm Castle and Taxinge, 6 hours

    We suggest you visit one of the oldest castles in Sweden – Gripsholm. The road one way takes about an hour. Gripsholm was built by order of the first Swedish king Gustav Vasa in 1537. Over time, the castle became a refuge for the widowed queens of Sweden.

    Gripsholm is the best example of the Renaissance, one of the most famous architectural monuments and the embodiment of Swedish romance. It is located on one of the islands of Lake Mälaren, near the city of Mariefred.
