Stockholm is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Magnificent buildings are combined with green oases of parks and water. It feels harmonious proportions and calm majestic beauty of the Swedish capital.

The city arose more than 700 years ago in a unique place where the indented sea bay meets Lake Mälaren. Currently, the central part of Stockholm is spread over 14 islands connected by 57 bridges. Water is the most important part of the city landscape – and occupies about a third of the entire area of the city. The entire city is located on cliffs of varying heights, which gives the views of Stockholm extraordinary beauty. Another important part of the city is the gardens, parks and boulevards. Stockholm is rightfully considered the greenest capital of Europe.

The heart of Stockholm is the largest in Europe by area, well-preserved medieval Old Town (Gamla Stan). Narrow cobblestone streets, old but perfectly preserved buildings, the Royal Palace, churches – you will see all this when walking around the Old Town.

We also advise you to take a walk to the Stockholm archipelago and enjoy the beautiful landscapes and nature. Boats ply the archipelago – you can choose a trip lasting from a few hours to a whole day, stay in one of the cozy hotels or in a cottage and devote your time to fishing, canoeing, cycling and leisurely walks.

Stockholm also has many places for the whole family to visit, such as the Tivoli Gröna Lund with its rides and entertainment.
